Muted tones meet bold color blocking and latitude meets attitude on the Lacoste fall-winter 2013 runway. As the models began to strut out of what appearing to be a moving Rubik’s cube, our eyes were met with unsaturated separates, glacial prints and subtle greens. Double-faced contrasts occupied the wool textiles as well as the knits. Rounded shoulders and ample yet fitted layering popularized the collection immaculately. Strength and confidence took form in a bold, monochromatic orange trench and pants ensemble. The highlight came midway when geographical lines and asymmetrical zippers caused several double takes. All in all, the mapped assemblage by Lacoste did not get lost this season.
