Featured: Levi's ad

I present to you my second look submitted for the most recent edition of Vogue Homme Japan. Upon request I was hesitant to feature an urban look, after all the magazine is renown for it's polished styling and editorials...but I said screw it, and took the risk. speaking of risks, I may or may not have busted a mission to get these shots a stone's throw away from the famous Mission Inn...permit required? didn't think to ask *rolls eyes conspicuously*

 When it came to the outfit assembly, it was an indisputable decision to incorporate a form of pastel with rich earth tones, similar to where the earth meets the sky if you're looking afar. Okay maybe I didn't think about it quite that in depth but it would otherwise make for a decent source of inspiration. The jeans are fantastic not only for the mere fact they have a tinge of robins egg blue, but because they carry a dying trend of what's use to be commercial, ripped holes! sure it's minor but did anyone else think Abercrombie or Hollister? ...speaking of a dying trends. Never the less, I'm proud to sport these uncool babies. The darker hues came from my overused beanie and not-used-enough river island jacket. Considering today is the final day of summer, my winter wardrobe needn't worry further as I shall contemplate their involvement once again.

Morning! As I patiently sit here updating my blog, inches next to me, my iphone is receiving the new ios 6 update! hear it's the best update so far. So I will now attempt to focus my undivided attention to this mornings emails, blogposts etc instead of checking every five seconds to see if my updates complete. When Vogue Homme Japan reached out to me, It was quite the moment... Up until this point I hadn't had very much press myself let alone my blog, so you could imagine the wave of thrill when I received an email that subject "VOGUE" in my inbox. After their request of a few street style shots, I knew that I had to assemble outfits that would really speak out who I was as a blogger. For this first one, I wanted to balance a dapper vibe with some edge. I used my new coach bag, favorite dress shoes, and priceless vintage army coat. Luckily, and ironically, My photographer friend and I bumped into some asian culture scenery (in downtown riverside) and thought it'd be appropriate as well as vibrant for the setting. All in all, we got the shots and Vogue was happy... and when Vogue's happy, you know it's going to be a good day;)

Saying that this is an honor, would be an understatement. I'm so incredibly ecstatic and thankful to be featured in the most pinnacle fashion magazine of all time, I can barely contain myself. Two unreleased street style looks by myself were featured in the DIY fashion section of the most recent edition of VOGUE HOMME JAPAN. I was alongside many other talented young men such as Tony Stone, Vini Uehara, Andreas Wijk and more. If you have access to a copy, or obviously live in japan, purchase it! lots of great stuff including dapper editorials and lifestyle articles.
