Glendalough, Ireland

Suit jacket- Moods of norway, Suit trousers- Moods of norway, Shirt- Moods of Norway, Shoes- similar

Top o the mornin! I'm so excited to show you all my first post from IRELAND. Anouska, kyrstin, Lucy, Ivana and I decided to take a road trip around the country for 3 days (seeing as it only takes 4 hours to get anywhere, that's how small Ireland is) and one of our big stops was to Glendalough, Wicklow! A beautiful town with the most incredible scenery and foliage. We drove about an hour out of Dublin and soon found ourselves in the heart of the park, surrounded by vast green mountains, golden light and ebbing and flowing waters. As you can see I was a bit over dressed but I just couldn't wait to wear this rich navy suit by Moods of Norway. When I picked it up in New York I just knew I had to photograph it in Ireland due to it's speckled wool texture and contrast print lining, it seemed like something the natives would where! I paired it with slick brown oxfords and my signature clubmaster's.

I'll be back soon again to write/show more about Ireland and my other travels, but in the meantime make sure to check out the Moods of Norway site for some other dapper options like this suit! HERE

  10. I wouldn't think a suit is the most suitable attire to casually hang in around the lake, but...well...your photos prove me wrong. It all fits perfectly. It's the texture of the suit...slightly rugged and therefore perfect.

  11. I think its great you got to go back and explore your ancestry. I don't know if you felt this way, but I loved Ireland when I visited because the pastors and everything felt like no one else existed in this vast private world I landed myself in. And your attire does appear appropriate and native. What came to mind instantly was a very sophisticated looking Leprechaun - but in all blue lol. I don't know if you found your pot of gold, but your experience sounded like it was exactly that. :)

  24. I have a very similar photo to this, on that very rock and all haha! I'm Irish myself but from the south, so I took a venture up to Glendalough a few years back :) Lovely spot, you should check out Killarney in Co. Kerry for the lake. And just Kerry in general for its beauty!

  25. Totally wishing all young men wore suits like yours when traversing the countryside! Beautiful shots of Ireland. Shamefully as an England resident I've never been to Ireland - Scotland lots (being half Scottish) and all over the rest of the world (including plenty of time in the US with a year living in San Francisco for starters) but never Ireland. My love of the feeling Scotland gives me on visits to its vast landscapes is something I imagine I would gain from Ireland too. Might just have to get over there... but in short - totally love the suit, especially the colour, and thanks for sharing your trip with us! x
