#NYFW 2

blueeeee velvet  reflectors

shop the look

Here's my second look for fashion week...cool you say? cool BLUE that is. In actuality, the weather was anything but cool...90 degrees Fahrenheit is definitely NOT COOL. I feel like men may have to suffer more...let's talk about it. Yes women have to deal with heels but men have to wear suits, and layers upon layers for one to achieve a dapper look. here for instance I'm wearing an undershirt, button up and wool blazer because it was the only one in my size at Ted Baker. I'm going to throw up the victim flag only because I was sweating buckets more than the beautiful women in dresses! am I irght or am I right? I would like your sentiments on this topic...

  4. Well, it's true.
But our dresses in winter are very much useless if we cover with a coat so to be 'beautiful' we have to suffer the cold freezing weather: to each one a dreadful season, i guess.

But keep that wool blazer for 6 month and you will be good, it's such a great shade of blue to let it go - It's one of my favorite colors, so I'm partial to it - and maybe this winter you could also lend it on a fortunate, freezing, girl ;)

  13. Hahaha poor you. We women can get away with crop tops and such.

  14. Tell me about it, there is practically no style here In Miami .. nothing form-fitting, mostly loose, unflattering unless you want step outside drenched from head to toe in sweat in under 10 minutes (gross). That or you go semi-naked or naked in some cases apparently, lol. Though I love your shoes and wool pants, definitely worth the sweat. Don't sweat it. ;)

  16. Definitely, but it's a tradeoff. In the winter, we have to throw on jackets that cover up whatever amazing outfit we have on, but you'll be all set with that wool blazer!

  18. Wrong. Dressing well shouldn't be a trade off between practicality or aesthetic, you should always take weather in to account. Don't wear a wool blazer because it was the only one in your size and it looks dapper. Be smart about it, if its too hot, then make a mental note to wear the blazer on a more appropriate occasion, and style a new outfit. No one looks dapper covered in sweat regardless of how nice the outfit is.

  27. Those glasses are perfection. I have worn suits in really hot weather often and I hate it. Great look though very tailored and perfect for F/W.

  29. Late comment and the hot weather has mostly passed here, but I have to say I agree with you about summer clothing. I can wear a sleeveless top and short skirt to work and it's fine. My male colleagues can wear bermuda shorts but tank tops are not allowed. I see men in stores and banks who are wearing suits or business casual and wonder how they do it.
