So yesterday was a big milestone in I AM GALLA's history! Why you ask? Not because I endured yet another terrifying haircut...Not because I'm wearing my favorite shirt of all time...because I received my first professional, full frame camera! As some of you readers know, my last few Sony's were doozies and so this time around I knew I had to really put down a sum- (because essentially, you get what you pay for) and in turn led me to buy the Nikon D600 with an 85mm 1.4 lens. His name is Niko. Someone on Instagram pointed out, "how original!" thank you kind stranger for your optimism that was the point. My Sony was named Sonya... I find it to be blunt, witty and all the more suitable when the name of objects are incorporated in the actual brand name. It's hilarious.
Despite getting our ass's handed to us by the camera and it's difficult controls yesterday, we eventually started understating how it worked, you know, like 3 hours later...I suppose when you buy a professional DSLR it was intended for PROFESSIONALS, people with their degrees etc. in which case are not me or my photographer. We played around for a bit until and started getting great shots. The quality is really beautiful, and crisp. It made my eyes really blue shockingly...I want my eyes this blue all the time, sad face. Regardless, I'm sure I'll have this bad boy tamed in no time.
