Let's talk: Male Arm Parties

As we roll into 2013, several styles roll with it and linger ever so temptingly to the untried individuals. You still have yet to host a party of the arm variety?! cue the shock and awe! If you're a female and haven't tried this arm bundling hobby, Cyndi Lauper is currently sobbing in dismay. How could you resist the fun of stacking numerous accessories, like a Janga arm, flaunting it in public "Hey everyone! this side of my body is heavier then the other!" All fun aside, the finished collage of wrist-wear does appeal to the eye, being able to mix and match watches, metal bracelets, embellished chains and diamonds. But with the ever-growing menswear market this constitutes a question...What about male arm parties? or should we hereby rename to male arm "kickback" for all purposes of masculinity?

When it comes to styling an arm
"kickback" men actually have several options at hand (all pun intended). I personally like to commence around the focal point, a watch! sporty or chic watch? that is the question. Take a glance at these affordable yet stylish watches HERE. Once you've established your time keeper, you must now choose the counterparts. A popular masculine choice could be beaded bracelets. Anything from tigers-eye, to onyx and even wood would be acceptable on a man. A variety of beautifully handcrafted pieces can be found at my dear friend, Tevin Vincents shop HERE. If you really want your "kickback" to evolve into a hopping, "Calling the cops" party, then bring on some threads! Woven or braided strings accentuate the beads and watch, giving your look an overall raw feeling. After all, you might be channeling a Rastafarian or 60s hippie but if that's what you want, then by all means go for it. Unique threads can be found HERE. I've included 6 pictorials to inspire your male-accessorizing endeavors further!

In conclusion, I'd like hone in on the reality of cross gender trends and styles. If applied correctly, Men can sport female trends but in a masculine way. Arm parties? try arm kickbacks. Slippers? try loafers. neck embellishments? try collar bars or tie clips. Clutches? try a manvelope or case. There should be no excuse for wanting to dabble in a trend that may seem "impractical" to the certain sex. It's 2013 people, the lines are being blurred. So have fun, take risks, and party all night long by way of your wrist wear!
